2019 Hanoverian PJ
Who wants to own Roman’s full brother?
Just like the OG 🥔, I bought PJ for myself as a wild 9 month old directly from the breeders and have brought him carefully along over the years. I bought this horse for myself with plans to bring him to GP after his older brother but it turns out having two babies takes a lot more time out of your life than I anticipated! 😅 This horse is so easy, so lovable and kind. He’s been a joy to develop. He is the perfect JR or AA horse to bring along but is also fancy enough for a pro!
PJ is a 2019 Hanoverian gelding standing approximately 16.3h and is the type of horse every trainer wants in their barn. He’s spent a good majority of his time training outside of the arena to develop his strength and is super easy to steer around the huge field, even with his friends fooling around in the same space.
PJ is very trustworthy, requires no lunging, is super brave and focused with three correct gaits with plenty of talent for the FEI. He truly loves having a partner, putting in the work and learning. He is thrilled when it’s time to tack up and go to the ring and is so full of joy to be part of a team. Just the right combination of sensitive and sensible. Forward thinking in a correct, kind manner. Incredibly easy in the contact, just hold the reins and he’s on the bit. Simply uncomplicated.
He has one of the most positive attitudes towards the work and is incredibly trainable. He will come running to you from the field when he sees you! He’s very sensible and not spooky. A true old soul type of guy.
PJ hauls great and travels well, stands in the cross ties, for the farrier and vet without a problem. He is barefoot, lives outside 24/7 and is fat off of air. Solid Training Level with a great leg yield started.

One of the most disgusting things I've ever seen.😡😡
2024 and it’s still happening.
I’m a native East Tennessean. This is behind bad aric. The Walking Horse people used to send their magazine to my high school library! Soring is supposedly illegal. And the trainers swear it’s not being done but it is. And the veterinarians who are supposed ro be looking for evidence of soring are being bribed and saying the horse hasn’t been sorted when it has. And the trainers use all kinds tomtricks to hide the soring or disguise it. Maybe there needs to be random spot inspections of trainers and barns that train TWH . There was a black guy who showed a horse, flat shod, in the 1999 annual,TWH celebration and then showed that horse again a few years later . There is a UA-cam video called “ walking on broken glass” that shows the 1999 show. And the difference between a TWH natural gait and the exaggerated, abnormal freakish gait is stunning, especially atgthe canter. These poor horses are suffering and will suffer their whole lives , as this causss harm to,their spines, hips, shoulders, feet , everything real,y. IMO we need to enforce the law against soring and make the vines extremely expensive or have jail time, then veterinarians, owners, trainees begin win loved if a horse is found to have been sored. We need ro outlaw stacks . I think Action devices, rolike rollees, maybe very light chains ( specify the exact kind and weight) might be ok for training if the horse isn’t having the device constantly hitting raw and painful flesh. And we need ro follow the money . Who is benifiting ? What politican is benifiting? Are Politicans being paid to ignore this? Tennessee politicans , speaking as a native, you should be ashamed !
What’s with the chemicals, why do they put them on the legs?
🤣 love this!! Tks
Nicking of tails is ALSO done on saddle seat horse.
what do you mean infant please reply
So sad to see these horses in Shaughter sales after they won their 25 cent ribbons too.
why haven't you made anymore videos
I’m taking a break from uploading on UA-cam and enjoying spending my time with my toddler and infant. 🥰
Lovely video! ❤
Is anyone or any organisation doing something to ban this?
Lovely ❤
He's super cute!!
Thank you!! ❤
I saw one reel about you " You got Pregnant from your own horse" Is that correct?
She couldn’t talk to the flies
My hart go out to you. Give yourself a space for grieving and remember tou a not alone.. I believe one day you will have a second child. Be kind to yourself and thank you for sharing
Deanna your right this made me sick we have been fighting it for years. Tennessee walkers have a natural gate and very comfortable why don’t they upgrade their breeding program for the natural gate. This guy looks horrible the gate looks horrible and I really am angry that they don’t let inspectors go into the barns to see their feet. 😢😢😢😢 horses are wonderful animals my 2 year old stud ( QH) I hauled him to different barns and longed him around other horse so he wouldn’t be “studdy” when time to train and show. These poor horse’s are insured out the ass and I’m sure after their spirit is broken from pain the have an “accident “ and get insurance $. They all need to be investigated.
This information here is hysterical! 😂
Most Tennessee big lick horses end up at the kill buyers auction because they are so broke down.😢
There's nothing natural about BIG LICK period! How stupid can you get! I can see hipper extensions in the video... can't believe people don't see this. Tennessee big lick is a fake.. nothing natural about it. 4-H leader for horse and pony California
I say my prayers every night and ask God to stop this.
It looks terrible and cruel
i hate the big lick
Growing up and even up until today, ( Before watching your video ), I always wondered as to how they were able to get the horses to lift their legs so damned high.... I always thought it to be so beautiful and possibly a genetic trait of the horse.... THANK YOU FOR SCHOOLING ME, I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SEE IT AS SUCH FOR THE REMAINDER OF MY LIFE... Also I just have to bring it up... You mentioned how they are made to look like an " F'd " up Carousel Horse, ( I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE ), and then while watching the snip of the sad event I couldn't help but notice that the music in the arena sounded just like a carousel ride ... WTF 😢
People and dogs are really good at voice commands. Because of this it is almost impossible for most people to accept that horses are not good at voice commands. I have never seen a horse respond to voice alone in any significant way. This horse is responding to her whip and her body language. The voice is superfluous.
There’s a whole dark side on Pinterest, and you can learn a looot from people who are passionate about this abuse. The foals are often “sent to training” at approximately 15 months. (In comparison that is a 6yo human child) Stalled except for training or care procedures. Often the nose band has a chain on the underside in contact with the horses nose. Seen a video of a TWH mare whose back leg tendons were so damaged from being subjected to big lick, that her tendons were as loose as a shetland foals with dwarfism. (You know how their legs are often so soft that they can’t walk?) they had to put the mare to sleep.
Some trends from big lick are getting used in top dressage, i love horses but since i learned more about equestrian sport, it should all be banned and stopped.
There’s a whole dark side of this on Pinterest, and to add to you, the nosebands often have a chain sewn to the underside.
Saddleseat is just as abusive as big lick. It involves ridiculous showed which can be see in the video, knicking if the tails an unnecessary surgery just for cosmetic purposes, and gingering of horses which is literally soreing a horses privates. Plus these horses are in stall never pasture when it’s competition season.
"Consider the bit to be a connection and holding hands with someone you love". That is some of the best horse teaching advice I've heard. ❤
You have a very kind way about you. Your horses are fortunate.
Tysm for making this video tysmmmm ❤
I rode saddle seat. My nieces have gone to nationals. I know we train with weight shoes, nothing CRAZY! I’ve seen hobbles. But nothing like these monsters. Most good saddleseat people find a horse with a natural big gait. This is horrible.
Gotta COMPLETELY AGREE about the Walker crowd! My grandparents raised Saddlebreds during the 50s-70s and can say that I NEVER saw them mistreat a one of them... Grandpa was a real cowboy and had respect for all animals. He wouldn't mistreat a rat if he were paid to. I remember that he'd "train" their tails from the time they were just babies... He'd bag them and lay them up on their hind quarters. The bag was held still by a belt. By the time they were about a yearling, off the bag would come and they had natural, high tail carriage with complete control over their tails for use as fly swatters. I also remember Grandma and Grandpa taking in unwanted Tennessee Walkers... Once they got them, they'd turn them out with their Saddlers and they'd eventually "pick up" the way the Saddlebreds would play and strut around... We had a black Walker gelding named Charlie that they had adopted... He hung out with my Five Gaiter, Captain Hook... That horse would mimic almost everything that Hook would do. Ended up with really high action NATURALLY... I'm certain that it just came to him by those two playing together. My mom always said that animals are sometimes much more intelligent than a lot of people... And I have no reason NOT to have believed her.
EXCERISE TRAINING TIPS PLEASE, also muscle building tips through stretching
Thank you so much! This was very helpful I will be using the next time I lunge my horse.
Thank you this is really helpful😊
Healthy mom and cubs. It always makes me smile.😁
Seriously really great. So well done. I wish the entire sport would watch this with open ears and minds.
As an attorney equestrian this is freaking awesome
Every photo of a rider I see is chair seat. We are all taught chair seat to compensate for beginner tipping forward, but it’s over compensated and not corrected. I also think it’s a pretty stable seat for colt starting and western neck reining trail riding. But it’s awful for the horses back and for any athletic riding at faster gaits. It has its place on gaited horses and broncs.
Interesting that the riders on these Tennessee Walkers all look like mobsters. They look mean and nasty. Then you look at the Western riders that you show and they look kind and happy. Tells you immediately how the horse is feeling under the saddle of each one.
“You know it’s abuse to put that metal thing in there mouth but I’m pretty sure that putting weird like block chain thing on there feet makes them like really happy and I feels good for them” BRO WHAT🤨🤨
Kelsey
Why do peeps think 2 years old is old enough to be on a horses back? Ground work till 3 ....saddle work nobody in seat till 4 ...no heavy riding until 5!
Very weak people.
To understand why this happens look at the PEOPLE not the horses. Where else can sadists get their kicks, show off, and on a "good" day be cheered on in an arena while you pose as a conquering warrior???
I’m mind blown and shocked to the bone that this is a thing in the US😱 coming from Austria I’ve never heard of this until now - this is absolute madness and crippling the horses and their body mechanics, it’s unbelievable!!! How can this be legal?!?!?!
Horse riding should be enjoyable and relaxing do any of these riders seem comfortable? Do they seem like they’re enjoying it? Could they do it more than an hour not without the horse dying of course but horseback riding should be comfortable and easy and enjoyable, neither the rider or the horse are enjoying themselves, except for the cheers that rider gets from the crowd
